General Questions
- Individual – Public tours in which you pay for your own ticket or tickets and participate with other adventurers like yourself.
- Private – Completely private tours for families or friends that want to experience the adventure with no outside parties. (Maximum 5 adventurers)
- Group – Same as private tours but for groups of more than 5 adventurers. (Maximum 14 adventurers)
- Groups of more than 14 adventurers require additional planning from our end thus booking is made by phone or using the Contact Us form. (Price varies according to experience)
- Puerto Rico has some of the most beautiful wonders of the world, including some unique to the island. Puerto Rico is small in size yet, it packs a full load of fun and a vast selection of activities for everyone to enjoy.

- Cash is accepted with a valid credit card on file and a hold of 50% of the booking will be made until cash payment is received. - US Federal Agencies recommend travelling with a passport, which serves as an undisputed personal ID for any security checkpoint, as well as provides an official ID for anyone who intends to participate in or go through a local agency processing diligence. As far as requiring a Visa or Passport for visiting Puerto Rico from any of the other territories or states of the US, the answer is No, since the island is an official US territory and therefore is considered domestic travelling within the USA.

- Tropical weather is very unpredictable. Sporadic daily showers may occur mostly on the inner area of the island. Temperatures range from low 80’s to high 90’s F depending on time of year and weather.
- There is a service charge of 6% that is added at the check out to every booking.

- We pick you right at your location inside the San Juan Area and Isla Verde area hotels and AirBnB’s. If location does not appear, choose “other” and insert your location in the box that appears.

- Any cancellation must be made by telephone or email and acknowledged by WSD. The date on which the request to cancel is received by WSD will determine the refund due as follows:
- Cancellations 48 hours or more before check-in time: Guests may change their reservation or request a refund of amount paid.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in time, after departure time, late arrivals, and “no shows”: no refund.
- Groups of 10 or more guests must cancel at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the excursion in order to receive a full refund.
- Cancellations of groups made in less than 2 weeks prior to the excursion date will maintain a full charge on any spaces we are unable to resell. Guests that are no-shows or late arrivals will receive the full charge.
- Due to the unique nature and small size of our groups, we are forced to remain firm about our cancellation policy. Considering that on the day of any confirmed excursion we will be there, on site, waiting, and ready to serve the guests. Regardless of the cancellation reason, our time and fixed costs are already invested; we may even have turned down other customers by holding a particular guest space.
- All tours can be booked by through our website or Facebook Page by clicking on the Book Now button and following the steps.
- Special Adventures, Customized Experiences, and Concierge Services are booked by filling out the Contact Us form with the information on what is warranted and we will contact you with a quote and how to proceed. (Please allow up to 24 hours for a member of our team to contact you in regards to your request)

- For infants please contact us at [email protected] or (787)242-4211. Young child requires a minimum age of 2 yrs. in compliance with West Side Destination LLC. policy. Certain parks have minimum age policy which WSD will specify on the particular activities descriptions.

- WSD accepts Euro, calculated at the market value at the time of exchange. (XE Currency App is utilized for the value)
- Puerto Rico is a bilingual island; though, you will still find a few people that only speak and understand Spanish.
- In the Metro area almost everyone speaks and understand English.
- You should feel very safe to travel around the entire island of Puerto Rico. If for any reason there is a particular risk for any certain disease, all specified precautions given by the public health government agencies will be taken and the safety protocols will be followed.
- Various species of animals have non-lethal venom that will cause pain and discomfort, and in extreme cases of an allergy it can become complicated.
- WSD will provide guidelines to safely travel around them if they are to appear. Follow all precautions are team provides you with to maintain a high level of safety.
- Nettle is one of the most common poisonous plant in the island and as of the moment we have yet to encounter them in any of our adventures. Please listen to your guide as he will notify you of the presence of the plant and tell you how to identify it.
- No tour, with the exception of Cueva Ventana Night Exploration, has encounters with venomous animals. Still, this may change due to climate change and other factors, therefore you should always listen and follow your guides instructions.
- As long as the person can stand and move on their own with crutches or canes’ assistance the answer is yes.
- If you use a wheelchair for assistance, call (787)242-4211 for information on how to book as there are some experiences that we can accommodate for you, but due to the uneven terrain and nature of our tours it is not recommended.
- Yes, if, and only if, it is in the pick up areas.
- Notice must be given before being picked up for the adventure.
- Yes, as long as it is on a enclosed recipient or cup with cap.
- Legal drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18 years or older.
- It is our duty and responsibility to keep everyone safe, therefor we can cut you off at any moment and you must comply.
- If you become troublesome and the tour guide decides to cut you off and you continue to cause any issues, you will be charged a Disturbance Fee of $100.
- Unless is required due to a personal health condition previously informed or stated, it is company policy not to eat while on the way inside the vehicle.
- Only snacks can be eaten inside the van.
- Smoking of any kind is not permitted and strictly frowned upon inside the vehicle.
- Puerto Rico has legalized Marihuana in a Medical basis, BUT due to the nature of our adventures, law strictly prohibits the use of Medical Marihuana outside. Therefore, we are legally not allowed to permit you to use it during our adventures.
- Smoking of cigarettes is allowed at the stops throughout the adventure. PLEASE ASK OUR GUIDE WHERE YOU CAN SMOKE AS SOME AREAS ARE PROTECTED AS WILD LIFE REFUGES AND NATIONAL PARKS.
