About Us
Carlos Paralitici-Buitrago
Our COO, was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From an early age his passion for knowledge was great and he cultivated it with culture and books. Later on, he decided to focus his studies on the Economy and Politics of Puerto Rico. Through his love for reading and adventure, he enriched his knowledge of the history of Puerto Rico and decided that he should share his love and devotion to the island with others. At the age of 22, he started working in the transportation and tourism industry at one of the top companies in Puerto Rico. He quickly learned the way and polished his abilities while working with elite guests from the Isla Verde Ritz Carlton amongst other prestigious properties. Once he gained the expertise, he and his partner decided they should share their love for Puerto Rico with the rest of the world and this is how WSD came to be.

Our CEO, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, he pursued his studies in science, but discovered along the way a genuine interest in arts (dance, music, paintings), gastronomy (mixology, cooking) and history (traveling, social interaction). He has a sincere passion for enjoying sports, leisure and outdoor activities all together. After engaging with the public throughout various life opportunities, He has become a dynamic team leader concierge, tours sales agent & tour operator, through excellent customer-centric services and expertise in Puerto Rico’s food and beverage’s, hospitality and tourism industry. His years of experience and broad knowledge are key to providing all of our customers the best tour experiences on the market.

Going to Puerto Rico? Drop everything and book any tour with Bobby! We took the tour to Cueva Ventana and added a side trip to the Arecibo Observatory. Bobby was fantastic. He talked a mile a minute, packing in an amazing amount of information, all of it fascinating. He answered our questions candidly and helped us understand his wonderful island. We took two other tours during our visit to Puerto Rico, but we all agreed Bobby was definitely the best.

This was a great tour, from the communication before hand and the enthusiasm and attentiveness during! The team obviously have pride for their island and are excited to share it with you. The drive across the island is a breeze, as Robert shares history and interesting details (you barely realize you’ve been driving so long). Additionally, Robert is very attentive during the day, checking in to make sure everyone is having fun. And dinner was AMAZING. I was traveling solo, and had a few companies cancel, due to minimum requirements. Not these guys! Carlos was very helpful and considerate in accommodating my travel dates and fitting me in with a group. This two man team was amazing and I highly recommend the tour.

I strongly recommend this tour. We visited the southwest side of the island and is totally beautiful and breathtaking. The beaches you find here you won’t find it in San Juan. I spent a full day with my mom and sister and we are very pleased for what we got from this tour like breathtaking views, delicious food and a lot of information. In this tour you will get to know more of the island as a Local and you will be capable of seeing various ecosystems, beaches, visit to a small village and more. I found it worth it because we now saw half of the island during this tour plus the Guide are very knowledgeable and will teach you a lot about the island during the trip. See you soon in our next trip to PR. A beautiful experience so far the best we got in this our first trip to the island.

Roberto was our tour guide and he was an amazing tour guide. The caves were awesome.The juice drinks after were very good.We learned a lot on the ride there and the ride back.I loved it. I will go on more tours with West Side next time I’m in Puerto Rico.Thank you for making our day wonderful.

My wife and I took this tour on Feb, 10, 2019. We have been to the island a few times and we were looking to explore a different part of the island. We found this tour and it did not disappoint. Visiting the west side of the island requires a 2 hour ride but Roberto & Carlos made it feel like a 5 minute ride. Great way to see the small towns of Puerto Rico, the Caba Rojo lighthouse, salt marshes and lovely pristine beaches on the west side. We had time enjoy the beach, eat, drink and relax. We highly recommend this tour if you want something different than the standard tourists traps.

Bobby, our tour guide, was the friendliest and most knowledgeable person I have come across. Not only did he make our experience simple and easy, but I learned so many facts about Puerto Rico I wasn’t even expecting. With every turn of the road, there was another little tidbit that was super interesting to hear about. I feel like I got a lot of ‘inside information’ instead of just your run-of-the-mill speeches. You can tell he loves his country and loves to show people why they should love it, too. I would 100% recommend using West Side as your tour if you’re looking at checking out Puerto Rico the real way 🙂

My family and I were staying in Condado for Christmas Vacation and decided to do something different for the holidays. So, we booked with Robert from Westside Destinations, for a tour to Cueva de Ventanas in Arecibo, PR. We were lucky enough to have Robert as our tour guide. He picked us up in front of our hotel, and as he drove we had great conversation about the island, the cave we were about to visit and life on the island.
Even though the Cuevas de Ventana Tour people have their own guides who explain the history about the cave, Robert was there right alongside us, showing spots in the caves and petroglyphs that others missed. I cannot stop remarking on how knowledgeable, articulate and informative Robert was throughout the entire tour! He showed us plants, trees, buildings along the way and gave history on how those things came to be!
The view at Cuevas de Ventanas was breathtaking, but having Robert for the day was the cherry on top! Spending the day with him was our Christmas gift from the Island!!!
